The defense team for an OnlyFans model accused of murdering her boyfriend presented a video of knives being thrown at a pig carcass to support their case in a bond hearing on Friday.

Courtney Clenney, the OnlyFans star, is charged with second-degree murder for the death of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli.

Clenney has claimed that she acted in self-defense when she killed Obumseli, who was stabbed to death in their shared Miami apartment in August 2022.

The X-rated content creator asserted that she threw a knife at Obumseli, but never meant to kill him.

To prove that Clenney could have feasibly thrown the knife and fatally injured Obumseli without meaning to, the OnlyFans model’s defense showed a video of an expert knife thrower chucking knives at pig carcasses — which they said was comparable to human flesh.

Prosecutors were quick to highlight the flaws in the presentation.

In the video, the knives are thrown from six feet away. Clenney allegedly threw her knife 10 feet away from Obumseli, according to her recollection. The knife thrower was also much taller and larger than Clenney, so he threw the knives with a different force and precision than she likely could have, the prosecution argued, according to CBS News.

Her defense thinks that the video presents the closest look at what could have happened on the day of Obumseli’s death.

“It shows the court that our client is in fact credible, her self-defense is credible, and the actions she took that night are necessary to save her own life,” Attorney Frank Prieto said, according to the station.

Clenney’s attorneys brought Dr.John Marraccini, a certified pathologist, as their expert witness to explain the similarities between pig and human anatomy. He explained in court that pig skin and tissue operate similarly to a human’s.

Marraccini also appeared in the video examining the wounds on the pigs, which he said were like the ones inflicted on Obumseli.

The team representing the victim’s family, however, found the video demonstration to be lacking actual evidence.

“That’s inconsistent with common sense. It’s no way that you would throw a knife, that the knife is going to land so deep in a downward position,” Attorney Larry Handfield said.

The video presentation relied heavily on the bodycam camera footage from the day of the murder, which the defense used to map out the knife-throwing setup. Because that footage has yet to be introduced into evidence, the judge deferred the bail ruling until she could review it.
