Young men shouting "Jesus is Lord" were kicked out of a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Wisconsin on Thursday. As the number of reported hecklers left, the Democratic nominee said, "You guys are at the wrong rally."
According to local Wisconsin outlet the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, a number of attendees at the rally were heckling Harris during the event and were escorted out. As they were being led out the door of the rally, some of them yelled, "Jesus is Lord" as well as "Christ is King." Harris paused her speech and then said, "Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally."
"No, I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street," Harris added, trying to take a jab at Trump, who will often talk about crowd sizes at his campaign rallies. After Harris made the comments, the crowd cheered as the young men were shown the door.
The rally was at the La Crosse Recreational Eagle Center this week in the swing state of Wisconsin, one of the key states that will be needed in order for either candidate to win come November 5. As of Saturday, Trump has a slight lead over Harris in Wisconsin, per Real Clear Polling. Many have taken aim at the comments from Harris in response, saying that she is anti-Christian.
The same day, Trump was going to the Catholic Al Smith Charity dinner event in New York, an event that is traditionally attended by both presidential candidates in the name of a good cause. However, Harris opted to campaign in the swing state of Wisconsin instead. Some left-wing pundits said that Harris campaigning in the state instead of going to the Christian charity event was a "better use of her time."
The GOP nominee made many laughs during his speech while Harris was booed at the dinner for only doing a pre-recorded video message.
