Former President Donald Trump praised Fox News anchor Bret Baier for his interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Great job by Bret Baier in his Interview with Lyin’ Kamala Harris,” Trump wrote on Truth Social late Wednesday after the one-on-one aired. “She has a massive and irredeemable case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME — So bad, in fact, that she is barely able to talk about any subject other than the man who had the best economy ever, the strongest border in history, and who just go the UNANIMOUS ENDORSEMENT OF THE U.S. Border Patrol, ME!”

Mr. Baier sat with Ms. Harris for her first interview with Fox News just weeks before the Nov. 5 election.

Mr. Trump bashed Ms. Harris in his post, calling her “the worst vice president in history.”

“Congratulations to Bret Baier on a tough but very fair interview, one that clearly showed how totally incompetent Kamala is,” he wrote.

Mr. Baier and Ms. Harris covered immigration, the economy and her policy ideas.

She also bashed Mr. Trump, saying he isn’t fit for the presidency.

“People are exhausted with someone who professes to be a leader, who spends full time demeaning and engaging in personal grievances and it being about him instead of the American people,” she said.

After the interview, the Trump campaign called the interview a “train wreck.”

“She couldn’t give a straight answer to a single question because she has no answers. Kamala’s entire campaign is based on lies about President Trump. Kamala can’t handle the pressure of an interview with Fox News — she certainly can’t handle the pressure of being President of the United States,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said. 

Mr. Trump otherwise railed against Fox News. Ahead of its interview with Ms. Harris, he said the network “has totally lost its way” for having certain guests on the show, like members of her campaign.

“It’s not worthwhile doing Interviews on Fox, because it all just averages out into NOTHING,” he posted Monday on Truth Social.
