The Issue: Adam Coleman’s column on the former president lecturing black men about voting for women.

In an election season where civility, decency and fairness have been tossed out the window, I don’t think I’ve seen anything more offensive than former President Barack Obama lecturing black men about whom to vote for and why (“Thanks Barack, I can think for myself,” Adam Coleman, Oct. 12).

And if that wasn’t bad enough, he admonished the group that they were lucky former First Lady Michelle Obama wasn’t around.

This is a cringeworthy example of how harmful the Obamas and their fellow Democrats are to the black community. They preach the party line for votes and then do absolutely nothing to actually help the community. It’s an affront to all Americans of all races.

Former President Donald Trump is a businessman who developed properties, employing thousands of people of all races. I wonder how many job opportunities Obama created outside of his government-funded career.

The Democratic National Committee brought Obama to Pittsburgh to try to rally people in support of flip-flop Harris. They think black people still revere Obama as their savior, as many of them did back in 2009.

But guess what? They don’t.

Many of them see through him and his wife. Did he go back to Chicago after leaving the White House? No, he moved to Martha’s Vineyard.

Trying to shame black people to vote for Harris solely because she is black will backfire on her come November.

I believe Obama asking black men to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris will have the opposite result.
Imagine if you were a black man thinking of voting for Trump. There is a good chance that you are constantly being pressured to change your mind. Yet Obama just acknowledged that there are many black men who would prefer to vote for Trump.

So, in a way, Obama reminds black men who support Trump that they’re not alone — an unintended consequence.

So here comes Obama telling black men that they should be voting for and supporting Harris because she is black, and not because she is the best leader for our country. I ask you: How racist is that?

Harris admitted that she would not change anything done under the current administration, and yet she calls for turning the page. Well, which is it?

It is time for everyone to admit the Biden-Harris administration has been an utter and complete failure. Harris should not be given another four years to completely destroy our country.

President Obama lambasted black men for their lack of energy, or support, for Harris. He says that it’s more pronounced among “brothers.”

There he goes again, playing identity politics. He says they have a problem with electing a woman to the White House. What they have a problem with is a thinly veiled fourth Obama presidency.

In extreme desperation, Democrats turned to Obama to shame black men into voting for Harris.
The imperious former president used race- and gender-baiting to stoke enthusiasm for her. But why stay in the party of slavery, segregation, failing schools and depressed economic growth?

Staying with the Democrats will get you a second helping of gruel, nothing more. It’s time for America to be “unburdened by what has been.”

Obama reached out to black men by saying, basically, that if they don’t vote for Kamala, they’re not black.
Similarly, Harris vowed to legalize pot if they vote for her — implying that they aren’t black if you don’t smoke pot. Tell me that’s not racist, especially as many black inmates are imprisoned for drug offenses while Harris pushes the black community into further decline with more drug use.
