During his recent appearance on the Nelk Boys' Full Send podcast, former President Donald Trump revealed that he will be appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcast. 

In a clip posted by the podcast, Trump was asked by host Kyle Forgeard about his recent string of appearances on popular podcasts, which has included The Lex Fridman Podcast, This Past Weekend with Theo Von, Flagrant, and more.

"You’re doing a lot of podcasts recently. One that I would love to see you on, I think Joe Rogan has to have you on. Would you do that?” Forgeard asked.

Trump responded by saying, “I think I’m doing it, actually?” 

When Forgeard clarified, “So you are going to do Joe Rogan?”

Trump confirmed, “Yeah, I am.” He went on to compliment Rogan’s podcasting skills, noting that Rogan had a "good voice," while the Full Send hosts referred to Rogan as an "honest guy."

This announcement sent shockwaves across social media, as an appearance on the popular podcast by the former president has been long-awaited by fans of both him and Rogan. Although Rogan does not identify as a Republican or conservative, he has garnered support from much of Trump’s base due to his outspoken opposition to strict COVID-19 pandemic policies and his advocacy for free speech.

However, Rogan has previously turned down multiple opportunities to interview Trump, citing various reasons, including demands by the Trump team. During an earlier interview with Lex Fridman, Rogan explained that he is not interested in hosting Trump to bolster his electoral odds.

“I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once—I’ve said no, every time,” Rogan said at the time. “I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

Rogan also said on his podcast last year that he would be more willing to vote for Trump than he would for President Joe Biden in the upcoming election.

The two had a brief public dispute several months ago when Rogan praised Robert F. Kennedy Jr. before he dropped out of the presidential race. Trump mistakenly viewed Rogan's comments as an endorsement and responded on Truth Social by attacking the podcaster and UFC commentator, saying, “It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024."

Despite this, any tension between Trump and Rogan seemed to dissipate after Trump appeared on The Lex Fridman Podcast in September. Trump downplayed the idea of friction between the two of them, saying, "I don't think that there was any tension and I've always liked him. But I don't know him."

“I only see him when I walk into the arena with Dana [White] and I shake his hand,”  Trump continued. “I see him there and I think he's good at what he does but I don't know about doing his podcast.” Trump then told Fridman that he would be willing to do Rogan’s podcast but had not been asked.

While details surrounding Trump’s potential appearance on Rogan’s podcast remain unclear, fans are eagerly waiting as the election draws closer. Rogan’s typical format involves long-form discussions that last several hours, leaving open questions about how such a conversation with Trump would unfold.
