The Issue: Pro-Palestine protests held on the first anniversary of Hamas’ deadly attack.

The anti-Israel demonstrations held on Oct. 7 — the anniversary of Hamas’ attack — were simply sick (“Trampling on Oct. 7 pain,” Oct. 8).

While reasonable people can favor a Palestinian state, many of these protesters exhibited vile anti-Israel behavior that turned into antisemitism.

Despite the fact that many of the Hamas fighters acted like barbaric murderers and rapists — something that is well-documented — these demonstrators support the brutality. How perverted can their values be?
And how scary it is that some of these Ivy Leaguers will likely become influential players in tomorrow’s America.

Yakov Moshe

Brooklyn

These people are cowards. They burn flags, yell insults, throw paint but do nothing of consequence for the people in Gaza.

They claim to want to help the Palestinians, but they do nothing. They cry for Gaza, but they do nothing.

They are cowards — but they just happen to be very loud cowards.

Ron Heimer

Yuma, Ariz.

If Palestinian liberation was the mob’s real goal — and not the destruction of Israel — then many of these protesters would be asking: Where is the Palestinian Nelson Mandela?

Where is the Palestinian leader who wants peace and freedom and not just more violence?

David Rabinovitz

Brooklyn

The display of hate put on by the anti-Israel protesters to celebrate a ruthless attack on innocents was truly, as The Post’s headline proclaimed, despicable. There will never be peace in a world consumed with hate.

As for the misguided Polish protester shown at Auschwitz with a sign comparing the actions of Israel toward the Palestinians with those of the Germans toward the Jews, let’s remember that the Jews never attacked Germany.

Bo Madden

Jupiter, Fla.

It was truly a disheartening sight watching anti-Israel demonstrators protest on the first anniversary of the Oct. 7 massacre.

The atrocities committed against innocents was beyond comprehension. The fact that we see this abject hatred being openly celebrated in our streets across the nation tears at the fabric of our society. Good people must stand up against this savagery before it’s too late and our country never recovers.

The Issue: Mayor Adams’ refusal to resign after being indicted on federal corruption charges.

Mayor Adams’ administration is getting smaller each day, with resignations of his top staff or his letting go of them (“No one out there to KO Eric — yet,” Michael Goodwin, Oct. 9).

He’s a modern-day Nero fiddling while the city burns — spending billions on migrants while the money could be used for education, police, combatting homelessness, etc.

The governor seems afraid to replace Adams, probably because of high-level political pressure. Yet he is ruining the Democratic Party, not only here, but throughout the country. The city is now in limbo.
Hochul, or the people, must replace him before its too late.

Joseph Comperchio

Brooklyn

The Adams administration is getting out of dodge like rats from a sinking shipt (if only the four-legged critters would follow).

Meanwhile, crime is so bad in Queens that people have to write letters to Hochul. Seriously, clean up this city or bring in the feds.

Eric Pederson

Manhattan
