Last week, I wrote a four-part series intended to help readers understand why we’re so often grossly frustrated, to the point of tearing our hair out. Our rulers say one thing and do another — and nobody holds them accountable. They promise some shiny outcome (safe streets, economic growth, healthy kids, peace in Europe, racial harmony, improving schools) and immediately announce policies that will clearly accomplish the opposite. Patriots prove that, using facts, figures, and obvious historical parallels … and the people in power and their complicit media just laugh at us (at best). Think of Kamala Harris’s cackle, and the look of absolute confidence on her face — as if she knows that the fix is in, that she could literally shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and it wouldn’t matter: The algorithms inside the voting machines would still find votes for her.

But if you complain about the voting machines, the harvested ballots, or the lack of voter ID, the regime won’t laugh at you. It will try to destroy you, as it proved in its persecutions of Donald Trump, John Eastman, Sidney Powell, Rudolph Giuliani, Tina Peters, David Clements, Dinesh D’Souza, Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon — not to mention thousands of nonviolent January 6 protestors who were goaded into the U.S. Capitol by FBI informants, or even those who were just waving flags outside.

Turning Each New Chernobyl into a Win

Where’s the accountability for two near-miss assassination attempts on Donald Trump? For the current chaos in Appalachia, where FEMA admits it can only offer $750 in spare change to hurricane-ravaged Americans because it spent all its money resettling Haitians and other “refugees” in comfy hotel rooms and shipped all our extra generators to Kiev? For the widening slaughter in Ukraine, which keeps inching ever closer (via long-term missile and drone attacks) to Vladimir Putin’s “red line” — and hence open war with nuclear powerhouse Russia? How about for the grinding conflict in the Middle East, where the Biden/Harris administration has funded both sides: an Israel rightly defending itself, but with no concern for helpless local Christians, and a genocidal Iran gorged on billions that the U.S. government sent it?

The pattern repeats itself in one policy area after another, in virtually every debate we face. Our rulers keep suffering one Chernobyl meltdown after another, but their Soviet regime keeps getting stronger. In fact, it has learned to profit from the fallout from its failures. I’ve recounted the most egregious ones:

• Our Deep State’s failure to prevent the September 11, 2001 attacks — which didn’t get anyone fired or prosecuted, but instead brought massive new funding and unconstitutional powers in the form of the Patriot Act. That transformed our CIA and FBI (et al) into a political secret police akin to the old KGB.
• Our secular government schools, which show constant decline in basic skills and knowledge, increasing obesity and mental illness, and now an epidemic of so-called “gender” disorders that allegedly require castrating and sterilizing children to match the fantasies the groomers in those schools planted in their heads. The more the schools fail, the more cash and power over children our rulers demand. The more often messed-up, overmedicated, or trans-addled kids shoot up their schools, the more the regime tries to seize the firearms of law-abiding adults.
• Our suicidal open-borders immigration policies, designed to replace the existing hard-headed American population with docile, obedient peasants from the Third World. When ordinary Americans object, that’s cited as proof of “racism” which must be cured by … more diversity.
• Our public health dictatorship, which saw Dick Cheney hire Anthony Fauci to create bioweapons. When U.S. laws forbade that, Fauci had to relocate to China — where COVID leaked, giving our government the pretext to close our churches, forcibly vaccinate us with experimental drugs, crash our economy, kill thousands in nursing homes, and institute fraud-prone mail-in voting just in time to steal the 2020 election. Nobody blamed the makers of bioweapons for any of that. Instead they proposed (as in New Zealand and Australia, where private guns are mostly illegal) to intern the unvaccinated in camps.
• Our globalist elected officials, bloated nonprofits and church leaders, who are knitting together an international network of unaccountable power, immune to challenge by voters and insulated from criticism by massive censorship and punitive financial measures designed to bankrupt dissidents they can’t yet simply imprison (as the regime is now doing in Britain).

I ended that four-part series with practical, political, and spiritual means of resistance. And I went on some great radio shows such as Eric Metaxas’s to talk about the “Antifragility of Evil.”

One of my favorite hosts, Karen Kataline, asked me a question which at the time I couldn’t answer. I realized I’d need to think about it and address in another column. How do they get away with it?

For the moment, leave aside spiritual explanations, which certainly matter when we’re discussing a global movement led by principalities and powers. Tangibly, practically, in purely human terms: How do mediocre, cowardly, unprincipled people from Kamala Harris to Pope Francis gaslight an entire planet and manage to keep selling snake oil to the patients who are dying from it? How does each Chernobyl these Soviet apparatchiks unleash on us end up fueling their power grab instead of derailing it?

Not why. The World, the Flesh, and the Devil can answer for that. But how? In Part 2 I’ll try to explain that, in light of similar authoritarian regimes that were built on lies: National Socialist Germany and international socialist Soviet Russia.
