All-Pro linebacker and Super Bowl champion Devin White just hit the free-agent market after being cut by the Philadelphia Eagles — without playing one snap.

White signed a one-year, $4 million contract with $3.5 million guaranteed this offseason, but the Eagles apparently thought he had no role with the team despite the hefty contract.

The former Buccaneer was expected to complete for a starting role, but injuries pushed him down the depth chart and ex-Georgia star Nakobe Dean took control of the starting gig.

White was inactive all four games this season and his release came after the team’s bye week.

He missed Week 1 with an ankle injury, was a healthy scratch in Weeks 2 and 3 and missed the Week 4 loss to the Buccaneers due to personal reasons.

White was drafted one slot ahead of Daniel Jones as the No. 5 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of LSU.

He previously formed a daunting linebacking core for the Buccaneers, playing alongside captain Lavonte David. White was the leading tackler on the 2020 Super Bowl squad, which was led by Tom Brady.

After being released, White posted some cryptic messages to his social media.

‘Your story is still being written, and the best chapters are yet to come,” White posted as he now searches for a new home. “Believe that the future holds boundless possibilities, and you have the power to shape it into something truly extraordinary.”

In a second message, the 26-year-old White posted about getting a clean slate with whomever his next team is.

“Every day is a new beginning, a fresh start to create the life you have always imagined. Let go of past mistakes and focus on the possibilities of today,” White said. “You have the power to shape your destiny with every choice you make. Trust that each new day brings with it the opportunity to start over and make remarkable progress.”

White seemingly had issues with Eagles coach Nick Sirianni as he was not interested in discussing his role coming off the bench when asked earlier in the season.

“You’re going to have to get it from [Sirianni],” White said.

Sirianni has bigger issues, though, as the Eagles sit at 2-2 and look far from the Super Bowl contender many thought they could be.

The Eagles play host to the Browns on Sunday.
