An MSNBC host declared that Elon Musk is the "world’s leading spreader of disinformation." This comes as Musk went to speak attended a rally in support of Donald Trump over the weekend. He also spoke at the rally, the second one to take place in Butler, PA after his July 13 rally was cut short by an attempted assassination on Trump's life.
"I will say that Elon Musk is perhaps the world's leading spreader of disinformation, including outright lies about hurricane relief, about illegal immigrants," Jonathan Lemire said on the broadcasting outlet.
“We've seen him do that in the last couple of weeks, and then on Saturday, he steps on stage with Donald Trump, like with one of the, one of the less athletic leaps I've ever seen as he bounded his way on stage with Trump," Lemire added.
The MSNBC host said that Musk's vertical jump was not the best, referring to the now famous photo where Musk is jumping onto the stage when he was introduced by Trump. When Musk took to the stage on Saturday, he emphasized the role of freedom of speech as well as the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment. He was critical of the Democratic Party for censorship.
The X owner and SpaceX CEO endorsed Trump earlier this summer and has been considered to have a cabinet position if the GOP nominee wins the election.
TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk commented on the clip, saying that the outlet "just had one of its producers caught on hidden camera admitting the network is indistinguishable from the Democrat Party, says with a straight face," and slammed the host for making the comment.
The MSNBC staff member that admitted as such was Basel Hamdan, a writer and producer for the news broadcasting company.
