The political action committee (PAC) backed by billionaire Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, has offered starting wages of $30 an hour to individuals who want to be involved in get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts in support of former President Donald Trump.

According to Fox News, the America PAC, which was founded by the Tesla and X owner, makes the offer on its website, telling potential employees to “email us if you are interested in working on increasing voter registration and voter turnout. Pay starts at $30 per hour, with bonuses for performance.”

Musk, who previously remained politically neutral, announced his support for the former president immediately after the assassination attempt on July 13th in Butler, Pennsylvania. Musk was one of President Trump’s guests of honor at his first rally in Butler since the attempt, which took place on Saturday. Musk sat in the front row, alongside Trump’s son Eric and his wife Lara, and Trump’s running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio).

President Trump invited Musk onstage, where Musk gave a passionate speech urging everyone watching to register to vote, and to convince as many people as they know to get out and vote for President Trump.

“I think it’s the most important election of our lifetime,” Musk said onstage. “This is no ordinary election. The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms… They want to take away your right to vote effectively.”

Musk openly admitted to his speech being repetitive in terms of his focus on voter registration and turnout, saying that it is important for others to be a “pest” as they urge people to get out and vote.

“And honestly, you want to just be a pest,” said Musk. “Just be a pest to everyone. You know, people on the street everywhere.”

The America PAC describes a similar mission on its website, saying that it promotes “free speech, free markets, and a merit-based society.” Since its launch, the PAC has played a key role in canvassing operations in the seven key battleground states of Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia. When he first started the PAC in July, Musk vowed to donate $45 million to the PAC every single month until the election.
