With less than 30 days left before the 2024 election, Vice President Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) has scheduled multiple interviews with prominent celebrities as she combats criticism that she has refused to do interviews since becoming the nominee.

As reported by Breitbart, Harris will appear on several major platforms this week, starting with The View on ABC, followed by Stephen Colbert’s late-night show and Howard Stern’s radio show. All three shows are considered friendly territory for Democrats, and none of the hosts are expected to ask tough questions.

Her appearance on The View will be on Tuesday morning, followed by Stern’s show in the afternoon. Her Colbert appearance will take place that same night. Later in the week, on Thursday, she is scheduled for an interview on the Spanish-language television channel Univision. All of these will be preceded by a Monday appearance on CBS News’ program 60 Minutes.

The hosts have all repeatedly gone on anti-Trump rants on their respective shows. Stern recently referred to Trump supporters as “stupid,” while the hosts of The View openly suggested that former First Lady Melania Trump wants to “take out” her husband, and laughed at the idea of the former president being killed. Trump has survived two assassination attempts against him, one in Pennsylvania in July and another in Florida in September.

Ever since Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the race on July 21st, Harris has still not done even one press conference as the Democratic Party’s nominee, and has refused to do any interviews in the same time period. By contrast, former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, has given multiple interviews over the course of the same period of time, and many more prior to the unexpected switching of the Democratic candidates.

Harris is also facing widespread backlash for her failed non-response to the damage caused by Hurricane Helene, which devastated multiple states in the American southeast, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee. All of the most heavily-hit areas are rural, and thus considered to primarily be populated by Trump supporters; as such, the federal relief response being so unusually slow has led to accusations that relief is being delayed on purpose as punishment for her political enemies and suppression of her rival’s supporters.
