In one of the funnier moments to occur on CNN, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi went fully into freakout mode when host Jake Tapper brought up former President Donald Trump’s criticisms of Kamala, with Pelosi snapping that Tapper shouldn’t be covering such things. Pelosi then got hilariously roasted online over the incident.

Trump, as background, said, speaking about Kamala, “You talk about cognitive problems – she’s got bigger cognitive problems than he has in my opinion.” Tapper then brought that up when interviewing Pelosi, saying, “Donald Trump saying that Kamala Harris has bigger cognitive issues than Joe Biden.”

Pelosi freaked out in response. She snapped, “Why would you even cover that?! This is a person who’s not on the level,” Pelosi snapped, appearing to struggle to speak herself. “He is their nominee for President. He is incompetent. Let’s not even talk about the silliness of it all. And the weirdness of it all. And the assault on women that it is. We’re not gonna talk issues.” She continued, “The only thing he did as president. The only thing he did as president when he had the majority was to pass a bill – tax cuts – that gave 83 percent of the benefits to the top one percent adding $2trn to the national debt. The worst job creation record of any president since Herbert Hoover.”

When Tapper added a bit of sanity back to the conversation, saying, “Because of Covid?” Pelosi freaked out all over again, snapping, “Well it’s not because of Covid, we put $3trn into the economy.”  She added, “And what did he do with Covid – denial and delay. Responsible for thousands and thousands of people dying so if you’re going to forgive his job record because of Covid make sure you attribute many of those deaths to him as well.”

Hilariously, social media had quite a bit to say about Pelosi’s live-on-air meltdown over Trump’s comments. One X poster included the video and captioned it by saying, “Breaking: Crazy Nancy Pelosi SNAPS at Jake Tapper for reading President Trump’s criticisms of Kamala. They are in full Panic mode! 🥳🥳🥳”

Replying, one commenter said, “You can tell that her deep seated hatred for Trump is fueled by her self measure….for she is above the *silly* plebeian concerns. She dismisses Trump because his concern is appropriately directed toward Americans, and this fact burns her insides.” Another added, “Breaking News: Pelosi loses her cool when confronted with the truth about Trump’s economic policies being better for America than Harris’! #Trump2024”

Another poster noted that Pelosi seemed to get angry merely because the press was, in this one case, actually acting like the press and noting concerns with a Democrat. He said, “Pelosi flipped out when Jake Tapper read comments trump made on kamala’s intelligence “Why would you even COVER THAT?!? 😡” They get very upset when the press even remotely acts like the press.”

Similarly, the Trump War Room X account noted that Pelosi was acting “crazy” in her response, saying, “Crazy Nancy Pelosi SNAPS at Jake Tapper for reading President Trump’s criticisms of Kamala: ‘Why would you even cover that?!’ YIKES.” Replying to the post, a commenter joked, “Translation: You’re supposed to be working for us (democrats). How dare you even begin to be balanced!”
