ROOKE: Democrats’ ‘New Masculinity’ Will Keep Turning Away Critical Voting Bloc

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance are set to hit the debate stage on Tuesday, giving Americans a side-by-side view of the dueling versions of masculinity between the two men.

The Harris campaign is struggling among working-class white men; their hopes of inviting Walz onto the ticket to bolster their standing among this crucial voting bloc has yet to come to fruition. On Tuesday, when Walz and Vance sit down in the first Vice Presidential debate, voters will get their first chance to watch the candidates make the case for why their ticket is the one that will lead the middle class to a new renaissance.

Walz’s problem is that, despite being from a midwestern blue-collar state, he doesn’t exude the same understanding of their way of life as Vance. Walz’s view of protecting women is the typical leftist ideal, which puts men in the backseat. This concept of masculinity is portrayed perfectly in the left’s insistence that the best way for men to protect women is to safeguard abortion. As if to say the only role men have in female life is to ensure they can keep murdering their babies for any reason at any gestational age. Men are in the background, only kept around to play the supporting role of female domination.

This is perfectly displayed in Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff’s interview with MSNBC host Jen Pskai on Sunday, in which she credits Emhoff with ” reshaping [ing] the perception of masculinity.” (ROOKE: Trump Sends Clearest Message Yet To Catholics With St. Michael Post)

“An important part, an interesting part, of how people have talked about your role here is how your role has reshaped the perception of masculinity. And I’m not sure you planned on that, but you are [an] incredibly supportive spouse. Has that been an evolution for you, and do you think that’s part of the role you might play as First Gentlemen?” Psaki asked.

“It’s funny. I’ve started to think a lot about this. I’ve always been like this. My dad was like this, and to me, it’s the right thing to do. Support women. It’s mutual. With Kamala and I, we support each other. We have each other’s back. And I’ve said many times when we lift up women, support women, whether it’s pay equity, childcare, family leave, and all these issues in the post-Dobbs’ hellscape, women should not be less than. Women should not have less rights and be treated differently. That’s not the American way. And it’s also not like if some woman succeeds that, some dude out there is suffering. It’s not a one-to-one relationship,” Emhoff responded.

Psaki then referred to Emhoff as a “wife guy” and then claimed some people are not comfortable with “fierce women, strong women, intelligent women.”

Like Emhoff, Walz and every other man are simply supporting characters for the female lead. The left doesn’t allow strong men who might disagree with women because it destroys female empowerment.

Vance is the opposite. He understands that there are millions of American men who feel left behind in a world where they aren’t allowed to lead. These men know they have a responsibility to protect beyond the feminist worldview that puts abortion rights on a pedestal and into the reality of a fallen world. (ROOKE: Looming October Surprise Could Wipe Out Kamala’s Campaign)

According to the most recent New York Times/Sienna Poll, only 6% of men chose abortion as their single most important issue. For men, the economy, immigration, the state of democracy/corruption, and inflation ranked higher.

As Vance and Walz take the debate stage on Tuesday, their differences will be stark. Vance comes from the world that Walz pretends to be part of, not just that he rose from his station in life, graduating from an Ivy League school only to return to help his fellow Americans. Vance speaks both languages and understands what it is like to live in a city forgotten by people like Walz, Harris, and Emhoff.

In the past, Vice Presidential debates haven’t changed the outcome of races; Tuesday’s debate could solidify the Trump/Vance ticket in the minds of blue-collar males. If it does, Harris is doomed.
