After being abducted during Hamas‘ October 7 terrorist attack, Israeli hostage Noa Argamani was rescued — along with three other hostages — by the Israel Defense Forces on Saturday morning and reunited with her father after eight months in captivity.

A video posted on X showed the 25-year-old woman embracing her father after landing in Israel.

Argamani, a data science engineering student, was likely kidnapped by Palestinian civilians on October 7. The civilians filmed her being driven away from the Supernova music festival on the back of a motorcycle as she cried out for help. She became one of the most recognized faces of the around 250 hostages who were taken by Hamas terrorists and held in Gaza.

Argamani was also one of the subjects of two other videos released by Hamas that teased her “fate” as terrorists claimed to show the dead bodies of two other hostages.

Along with Argamani, the IDF rescued Almog Meir Jan, 21; Andrey Kozlov, 27; and Shlomi Ziv, 40. The Israeli special forces conducted raids on two Hamas locations in central Gaza on Saturday morning, rescuing three of the hostages at one location and finding the fourth hostage at the second location.

Another video posted on social media showed the moment Meir Jan and Kozlov landed in Israel. Meir Jan appeared to raise his hands in celebration as IDF soldiers escorted the freed hostages to a hospital.

All four hostages were in good condition, according to the IDF.

Israelis across the country and the world celebrated the news of the successful rescue mission. One video showed a lifeguard at a Tel Aviv beach announcing that the four hostages had been rescued, and beachgoers responding with cheers.

“They risked their lives to save the lives of our hostages. This is what we do in Israel,” IDF Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said of the Israeli forces.

He added that the IDF will continue to fight to rescue the 120 hostages who remain in Gaza, which include men, women, and children.
