During a recent CNN segment titled “Kids on Politics”, researchers interviewed young children on their opinion of Vice President Kamala Harris.  During the study conducted by Stanford University and Arizona State University, the political sentiment of the fourth-grade students, the American youth did not hold back in expressing their criticism toward Harris.

Arizona State professor Asheley Landrum asked one boy from Texas, “What’s the first word that pops into your hear the name Kamala Harris?”  The boy immediately fired back without hesitation, “Liar”.  Another girl said that while she thinks it would be good for the United States to have a president who checks all of the boxes like Kamala Harris, she still feels the nation would be better off under Trump. “It’d be good for us to have a black woman as president for the first time in history, but my vote’s kind of still on Trump,” she said.

Another girl from Texas expressed a similar sentiment, stating, “I just don’t think a woman would be right for our president.”  When pressed by Landrum as to why she felt that way toward women in such a leadership position, she indicated that boys are better fit for such roles.  “Why do you think a woman wouldn’t be right for president, in your view?” Landrum asked. “I think ’cause only boys have been president before and that they would be more stronger,” the girl replied.  The young student further described Kamala Harris as “selfish” while adding that “girls are a little dramatic sometimes.”

The survey also polled the fourth-graders on their opinion toward former President Donald Trump, where Landrum asked, “What’s the first word that pops into your head when you hear the name Donald Trump?” Landrum asked in another interview. “Pure evil,” a girl from the blue state of New Jersey said.  However, another girl from Texas maintained, “Donald Trump is giving his life and his heart.”

“Do you think it’s okay for somebody who is a convicted felon to become president of the United States?” the professor asked the same boy who previously called Kamala Harris a “liar.”  The Texas boy confidently replied, “Yes.”  According to the study, nearly two-thirds of the students surveyed indicated support for Kamala Harris, with a surprising split among students in the deep red state of Texas.

However, The American Tribune recently reported on other polling in an academic setting from the University of Notre Dame that showed the majority of students support former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris.  Notably, the school has historically supported Democratic candidates, not backing a Republican candidate for twelve years.  The recent poll showed that Trump led Harris 47.6 percent to 45.9 percent.

Speaking about the poll, Notre Dame College Republicans President Elliot Anderson said, “It is amazing to see a college campus stand by President Trump. We hope that the trend of ultra-liberal colleges is finally coming to an end with the increasing youth support for conservative policies.”

“The last four years are why my family is on welfare,” another student said, explaining his decision to vote for Trump. Offering a similar opinion citing economic issues as a catalyst for their vote, another student claimed, “Honestly, the economy really needs to improve from what Biden and Harris are doing because it is becoming very hard to live.”
