Following a Wall Street Journal article detailing President Joe Biden’s personal mental fragility, Democrats attacked the publication, only to face harsh criticism on social media.

Annie Linskey co-wrote the piece headlined “Behind Closed Doors, Biden Shows Signs of Slipping.”

Meeting attendees reported that, at times, the 81-year-old president did not perform well. According to a social media summary, Biden is incisive, and his detractors are engaging in partisan politics, as stated by the White House.

The study mentioned Republicans and Democrats who had private interactions with the president in recent months.

Republicans made up the majority of those who felt Biden did not perform well, although numerous Democrats claimed he appeared older in multiple discussions.

Democrats, furious with the news outlet, attacked it on X, the site that was formerly known as Twitter.

Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California commented, “Many of us spent time with @WSJ to share on the record our first-hand experiences with @POTUS, where we see his experience, wisdom, strength, and strategic thinking.”

“Instead, the Journal ignored testimony by Dems, focused on attacks by Republicans, and printed a hit piece,” she said.

“This piece is absurd. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York retorted, “They purposely left out what I told them.”

“In my meetings with President Joe Biden, I have found him to be in command and wielding influence to make progress on important bipartisan priorities,” he stated. “But you don’t have to believe me; just look at his legislative results—which is why the GOP is trying so hard to discredit him.”

White House officials tried to show that the article was biased against Biden.

Democrats’ claims that their opinions were overlooked in the report because they didn’t align with the criticism leveled at Biden were reprinted by senior deputy press secretary Andrew Bates.

“It’s surprising that Republicans are using their election-year messaging approach in opposition to what they have previously said about President Trump. In Casablanca, gamble!” Ben LaBolt, the director of communications for the White House, wrote.

Former Republican congressman Joe Scarborough also voiced his frustration about the news on his MSNBC program “Morning Joe” on Wednesday morning.

Scarborough said, “Joe Biden is significantly superior to all others when it comes to discussing international affairs and advancing bipartisan legislation. The Wall Street Journal editors knew these comments were public, but they didn’t blame the writer. The reporter is always held responsible. I am at a loss for words. I’m not even sure what to say in this situation.”

Right-wingers made fun of Democrats for attempting to discredit the piece.

“If I were him, I would just stop being *secretly* inexhaustible and sharp as a tack and do it in speeches and even campaign events,” M.K. Hammer, a Fox News contributor, said.

Should Biden secure another presidential election in November, he will have completed two terms and reach the age of 86. Biden is currently 81 years old.
