A Texas jury has convicted a violent Dallas Antifa member over her role in an attack outside a children's drag event in Fort Worth in April 2023.

Meghan Grant, 39 (b. June 13, 1985), of Dallas, was found guilty by a jury on Wednesday of resisting arrest and interfering with public duties following a three-day criminal trial in Tarrant County, Texas.

The judge sentenced Grant to one-year probation and a 180-day suspended jail sentence over the two misdemeanor charges.

The conviction stems from an organized attack carried out by the anarchist group against protesters praying outside an all-ages "family-friendly" drag show at Fort Brewery and Pizza on April 23, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Grant, who identifies as trans nonbinary, is a member of the terror-linked Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club, an Antifa militia whose members are frequently heavily armed at riots and protests.

Grant arrived at the direct action organized by the EFJBGC, reportedly ready to kill. She was armed with a Smith & Wesson 9 mm handgun with a mounted Crimson Trace red dot sight when her militant group, decked out in tactical gear, helmets, and concealing their identities behind black bloc attire, launched an unprovoked attack on peaceful Christian protesters.

The anarchists rushed in to pepper spray the protesters who had been quietly praying outside the restaurant, court documents allege.

According to a press release from the Fort Worth Police Department at the time, officers observing the protest witnessed the unprovoked attack and rushed in to make targeted arrests. Grant was accused of charging past officers multiple times to gain access to two individuals who police had arrested for alleged acts of violence. Police were attacked by the anarchists when officers responded to the scene.

"A FWPD officer attempted to stop Grant by pushing her back toward the sidewalk; however, Grant did not comply and was taken into custody," the press release said.

The two individuals who Grant tried to de-arrest received felony charges over the attack. They are also members of the North Texas terror-linked Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club. Samuel Fowlkes, 21, of Parker County, was charged with assault on a peace officer, four counts of assault causing bodily injury, evading arrest/detention, and resisting arrest. He has an upcoming trial in Tarrant County.

Christopher Guillott, 34, of Denton County, was charged with assault on a peace officer and interfering with public duties. Guillott was acquitted on all charges in August following a jury trial.

Shortly after the guilty verdict, Grant wrote on social media that she planned to appeal the conviction and asked for people to donate to her legal fees via Venmo and CashApp. She added a comment she claims was made by her attorney, mocking the charges: "I mean, what kind of anarchist are you if you *don't* have resisting arrest?"

PayPal, which owns Venmo, has been reached for comment.

Meghan Grant issued a request for court support using a heavily filtered and edited photograph of herself.

This is not the end of Grant's legal woes. The victims of the Antifa attack filed a civil lawsuit against her and her comrades. In December 2023, a judge rejected Grant's appeal against a prior ruling, finding that the case had merit to proceed. Justice Dana Womack of the Texas Second District Court of Appeals concluded that the court had made the legally correct decision by not dismissing the lawsuit.
