Former President Donald Trump has doubled down on his prediction of winning a historically blue state in a video he posted to his Truth Social platform on Tuesday.

Trump, who was born in Queens, New York, says he will win his birth state, though for now, polling suggests otherwise.

“I believe that with your support, we can win the state of New York and I’m looking to win it as your presidential nominee. We are going to win New York – remember those words. I hope I’m gonna be correct. If I am, the election is over,” he said. ‘

“There’s tremendous discontent in New York with hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants taking over your schools and your playgrounds, and the crime that’s happening in the city of New York and the state of New York. The lack of supervision, the lack of control, the lack of leadership, terrible things are happening in New York. I think we can win it,” he added.

“And again, we’re gonna make a big play for New York, presidentially,” Trump reiterated. “And so get out and join us. It’s gonna be one of the greatest wins, I think, in the history of the state. There’s no question about it and I do believe we can do it.”

Trump has already held a highly attended rally in the back yard of far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the Bronx, and said last month he is planning more rallies in the Empire State.

During a visit to a lower Manhattan construction site before heading into court for his hush money trial, Trump was well-received by workers and other New Yorkers, later telling a Fox News reporter he would make a play for the state.

“I think we have a good chance of winning here, and we’re going to give it a big plan,” he said. “We’re going to the South Bronx to do a rally. We’re going to be doing a rally at Madison Square Garden, we believe.”

The rallies will focus on honoring police, firemen, and teachers, Breitbart reported. “We’ll be honoring the people that make New York work,” Trump said. “It’ll be very exciting, but we think we have a really good chance of winning.”

During his speech, Trump attacked President Joe Biden’s expensive economic policies, criticized open borders, and condemned the anti-Israel protests in some of America’s top universities.

“[Police] would like to be at the colleges” to secure those campuses “because what’s happening at the colleges is a disgrace,” Trump said, as he drew a contrast between the NYPD being stationed at the Manhattan courthouse instead of the college campuses. “This courthouse is locked down, and there’s not a person within five blocks. They have more police here.”

“This is the worst-run country right now,” the former president added. “All you have to do is look at the millions of people coming in from prisons, from mental institutions — coming in at levels we’ve never seen before.”

“So I’m gonna go in now and sit in front of a case — election interference,” Trump said. “But I guess, based on what I’m looking at, it’s driving up my poll numbers.”

Trump’s 2016 campaign manager and top political adviser, Kellyanne Conway, gave her former boss some very good news during an April Fox Business segment with another former administration official, economist Larry Kudlow.

The host cited polling data showing the presumptive GOP nominee within striking distance of overtaking President Joe Biden in blue New York, which Conway said boded very well for the 45th president.

“What is going on is that Trump is actually expanding his coalition, core constituency, looks, feels different, larger and more diverse than in the past, 2016 and 2020. Why, Larry?” she began. “It includes more union households than in 2016 when that helped us win in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio.

“It includes more Hispanics and African Americans. It includes more women. Excuse me, he beat the queen bee herself, the would-be first woman president, while the majority of the voters were female. We’ve been the majority of the electorate since 1964. Even if he gets 4 percent more, 3 percent more,” she said.

“That New York Times/Sienna poll showing Biden leading Trump in New York by 10 points, where Biden won by 23 last time. If it is half right, Biden is in trouble,” Conway predicted while going on to comment on Trump’s interaction with crowds in recent days at a Harlem bodega and at a construction site in midtown Manhattan.
