Legendary NFL Hall of Fame Coach Tony Dungy Calls Out Kamala over Awful Post

Legendary NFL Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy recently called out Vice President Kamala Harris on X after she shared an abhorrent message about faith and abortion.  Dungy, who has consistently been outspoken toward his Christian faith, offered a brilliant, scripture-based rebuttal to the vice president’s post, suggesting that faith and abortion were congruent.

As abortion has become one of the most contentious topics in American society, Vice President Harris seemingly attempted to appeal to the religious vote, as if to convince the demographic that the left’s stance on abortion does not contradict their values.  “One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree: The government, and certainly Donald Trump, should not be telling a woman what to do with her body,” she posted on X.

Dung, taking issue with this message, directly replied to Harris, questioning what she meant by the vague term “faith” before he explicitly outlined how abortion is incongruent with biblical teachings.  Citing various references in scripture, Dungy tore apart Harris’ argument, further pressing her to clarify what faith she was referencing.

“Dear VP Harris: I hear you make this statement all the time. Exactly what “faith” are you talking about when you say you don’t have to abandon it to support abortion? Are you talking about the Christian faith that says all babies are made in the image of God (Gen 1:26), that God places them in the womb (Jer 1:5) and that we should not take any life unjustly (Luke 18:20)? Are you talking about that faith or some nebulous, general “faith” that says we’re good enough, and smart enough to make our own decisions? What “faith” are you talking about?” he posted.

Regarding the topic of abortion, Dungy also shared a post from former NFL tight end Benjamin Watson, who criticized a post from Vice President Harris suggesting that a young woman recently died because she could not receive “basic medical care” after Roe v. Wade was overturned.  However, Watson offered a much different perspective on the matter.

Harris wrote on X, “A young mother from Georgia should be alive today, raising her son and pursuing her dream of attending nursing school. This is exactly what we feared when Roe v. Wade was struck down. In more than 20 states, Trump Abortion Bans prevent doctors from providing basic medical care.”

Replying to Vice President Harris, Watson wrote, “Amber Thurman’s tragic death was caused by complications from legal abortion drugs and gross medical malpractice. She should have been treated immediately by physicians who instead waited too long to act. Georgia’s pro-life law is not the issue. It does not criminalize doing a D&C, especially when there is no detectable fetal heart rate. Amber should be alive, and @vp should focus her attention on these facts so we can prevent the next tragedy rather than promoting politically motivated falsehoods.”

Dungy recently shared another inspiring faith-based message on X about “uniting with Christ” to fight sin.  “Paul’s point in Rom 8:7-16 was that by uniting with Christ we now have the power through the Holy Spirit to win our battle with sin. But in vs 17 he says that if we share in Christ’s glory we must also share in His suffering. While we’re here on earth things won’t always be smooth and easy. The results of our sin will decay our bodies. That will be painful. And when we choose to stand with Jesus we’ll be attacked just like He was. There will be pain from persecution,” he wrote.
