Donald Trump is dealing with the fallout of a criminal conviction in Manhattan.

Now conservatives are figuring out how to respond to Democrats’ witch hunt.

And Trey Gowdy gave Donald Trump this surprising advice about stopping Democrats’ lawfare.

Former President Donald Trump was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records in Democrats’ sham witch hunt against him in a Democrat-controlled Manhattan kangaroo court.

Soros-backed Manhattan Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg had Democrat-appointed Judge and Biden donor Juan Merchan bending over backward to make his job easier, and a jury pulled from one of the biggest Democrat-controlled counties in the country.

Fox News’ Trey Gowdy knows his way around a courtroom after serving as a federal prosecutor prior to his time in Congress.

He said that Trump was the only person Bragg seemed “excited” to prosecute after the Manhattan Democrat DA refused to prosecute actual criminals.

“The best revenge is success,” Gowdy said. “If you want a justice system that doesn’t elect a District Attorney who promises to go after a political opponent, then you need to win at the ballot box. Alvin Bragg, name me another crime that he’s gotten really, really excited about. It’s not shoplifting, it’s not stealing, it’s not hitting people on the street, it is alleged hush money to keep someone quiet about a sexual encounter. That’s what really gets his attention.”

Trump winning the 2024 election is the only hope of closing the door on Democrats’ weaponization of the justice system against their political opponents.

President Joe Biden winning re-election will signal to every Democrat prosecutor in the country that it’s open season on anyone who dares disagree with their radical agenda.

Democrats’ lawfare against Republicans would expand beyond the Presidency should that happen.

Gowdy tells Trump not to back down

Judge Merchan Manhattan is scheduled to sentence Trump on July 11, just four days before the start of the Republican National Convention.

Gowdy said that Trump shouldn’t cower in the face of the rogue, Democrat-appointed judge potentially sentencing him to jail ahead of the election. 

“There’s never a good time, to have a sentencing hearing,” Gowdy said. “That’s been my experience in life. You don’t ever want to appear in front of a judge. You can make the argument that the cloud of an end custodial sentence, the threat of going to prison is what will motivate Trump voters and supporters even more.”

Trump supporters rallied around the former President after the conviction, pouring more than $200 million into his campaign coffers within the first couple of days after the verdict.

“So if I m President Trump, I continue to say, look, I m willing to go to jail to save this country”, Gowdy explained. “I highlighted the part Brett where made a note of. He said, I am willing to go to jail to save this country. I want to move the sentencing hearing because I want the threat of jail hanging over the convention, hanging over the election, because I want people knowing that I have been victimized by this system in your stead.”

Trump reiterated in a Fox News interview that he was willing to go to jail.

The sentencing by the Democrat-appointed Judge is going to be the next major showdown in Democrats’ witch hunt against Donald Trump.
