After the big reveal that New York City's Covid czar Dr. Jay Varma was hosting drug-fueled orgies in hotel rooms while ordering New Yorkers to stay home, practice social distancing, and forcing them to get vaccinated or lose their jobs, a caucus within the City Council has demanded he be subpoenaed to testify. Varma admitted in a statement that he did "participate in private gatherings" during the pandemic, but he blamed "extremist right-wing" Steven Crowder for taking his comments "out of context."

The New York City Council Common Sense Caucus demanded that Varma, Varma's former boss Bill de Blasio (who is now living in Michigan), and Dr. David Chokshi (who was also part of the city's health team during Covid) be subpoenaed to testify before the city council. In a letter to council leadership, the caucus referenced the "disturbing video" showing Varma, who "bragged about his role as the COVID-19 czar."

"By his own admission," the letter reads, "while our city and state government were forcing businesses to close, firing thousands of dedicated employees, preventing faith communities from worshipping together, and keeping New Yorkers from visiting their dying loved ones, Dr. Varma—one of the chief architects and proponents of these devastating policies—was breaking every rule he coerced others to follow by engaging in drug-fueled orgies.”

"Given the profound impact the pandemic has had on our City, we are disgusted by the blatant hypocrisy and recklessness by a public official entrusted with such enormous responsibility."

Former Mayor Bill de Blasio distanced himself from Varma in an interview with News Nation, saying he wasn't aware of Varma's sex parties. He did not distance himself from the policies recommended by Varma, which he implemented.

"I had no knowledge of it. I find it disgusting and unacceptable," de Blasio said. "This is someone we trusted, as a teammate to tell the people of New York City, from as extensive medical background, how we could keep everyone safe. And that also meant we all had to show integrity and consistency. I'm shocked. It's painful, it's unacceptable. I don't I have not heard the audio. I hope he has apologized to his colleagues, and, even more so, to the people in New York City. He owes everyone an apology, for sure."

De Blasio enacted vaccine mandates at the urging of Varma, who revealed proudly to an undercover reporter from Steven Crowder's Mug Club Investigations that it was his plan to force the vaccine on all New Yorkers. Many lost their jobs, including front line, essential workers who refused to take the vaccine, which was approved by the FDA under an emergency use authorization. "I was actually the one who convinced the mayor to make it a mandate," he told the undercover reporter.

He explained how he convinced everyone to take the vaccine, and it wasn't for their health. "We make it very uncomfortable to be unvaccinated," he said. Vaccines were mandated and New Yorkers were made to show their vaccine cards before they would be permitted to go to restaurants or enter other venues.

"They didn't get vaccinated because they heard it was safe," Varma said, "they gave in because it was really hard." Varma also kept schools closed, along with de Blasio, at the insistence of teachers' unions, despite knowing that it was not good for children and was in fact harming them.

Varma enforced the mandate on city workers as well we private sector employees, including the city's professional athletes. When asked why he felt it was important to enact those mandates on everyone, he said "What type of message does it send to New Yorkers if rich people, powerful people, connected people, basically get to make their own rules?"

Varma forced New Yorkers to do what he said or, in many cases, lose their jobs while he felt perfectly at ease taking ecstasy and having orgies with his friends.
