This flight was a real Mickey Mouse operation.
An airplane was forced to make an unexpected landing in Denmark when a mouse leaped from a passenger’s meal and began scurrying around the cabin, the airline said Friday.
The Scandinavian Airlines flight was soaring from Oslo, Norway to Málaga, Spain on Wednesday when the squeaky stowaway popped out of a food tray — spooking passengers, according to The Guardian.
“Believe it or not. A lady next to me … opened her food and a mouse jumped out,” one passenger, Jarle Borrestad, wrote on Facebook.
The pilot was forced to land in Copenhagen due to a policy that prohibits rodents on flights because they can chew through electrical wiring, the outlet reported.
The travelers were then flown to Málaga, Spain, on another flight, a rep for the airline said.
“This is something that happens extremely rarely,” the rep said. “We have established procedures for such situations, which also include a review with our suppliers to ensure this does not happen again.”
It wasn’t immediately clear what became of the filthy furball.
