We've got a lot of serious things going on in this country, some of which undoubtedly weigh heavily on one's emotions, mind, and soul.
So, with that in mind, I thought some lighter fare would be in order.

This brings me to the story of Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and how, during a Thursday House hearing, she served up an ice-cold dish of revenge against a woke CNN panelist who tried to shame her a month ago during a CNN segment where Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris' campaign strategy was being debated.
During a heated back-and-forth exchange at the time, Mace was berated by two panelists - Vanderbilt Professor Michael Eric Dyson and author/left-wing commentator/Clintonista Keith Boykin - both of who accused her of allegedly mispronouncing Harris' name multiple times.
At one point Dyson strongly insinuated that Mace was being racist for refusing to pronounce Harris' name like they wanted her to, saying "That's the white disregard for the history and humanity of black people."

Here's how it played out, for those who missed it at the time:
Michael Eric Dyson and I had to correct Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) at least 10 times last night for purposely mispronouncing Kamala Harris’s name. “I will say Kamala’s name any way that I want to,” Mace said.

Here we are one month later, and Mace decided to have the last laugh on the matter during a House Oversight Committee hearing on the failures of the Biden-Harris administration.
At one point when it came her time to speak, Mace brought up how often it had been documented that Democrats including President Joe Biden had at times said Harris' name differently than what we've been told is the "correct" way to say it, using it to segue into flashing back to how she'd been treated by Dyson and Boykin.
Except Mace didn't just rant about what was said during the segment, she brought receipts detailing what happened after it:
“I would like to also enter into the record a screenshot of a text message I received from the esteemed professor from Vanderbilt, Michael Eric Dyson, after my CNN interview, begged me for photos in this text. He says, after calling me a racist on CNN, 'shh, don't tell anybody we look good together' and sent me a kissy emoji. The guy says I'm gorgeous in all these photos. I don't think he's that bent out of shape on how anyone pronounces Kamala.
And if we're going to have that standard, you got to hold it to both sides, not just one or the one or the other.”

Dyson, I should note, is a married man.
As we've talked about before, Mace is not every conservative's cup of tea. But when she brings the fire on the woke left, she does it without even breaking a sweat. And credit where due, she brought it and then some during that hearing.
