President Joe Biden is scheduled to attend a campaign event in California with George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and other celebrities as he turns to Hollywood elites to help his flailing campaign.

Biden will likely miss a Ukraine summit because it conflicts with the campaign fundraiser in California.

“Switzerland scheduled the conference for June 15-16, after a meeting of the Group of Seven in Italy. Several G-7 leaders plan to join but neither Biden nor Vice President Kamala Harris are scheduled to be there, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be named discussing private deliberations. President Vladimir Putin wasn’t invited and leaders from other nations are also planning to skip,” Bloomberg reported.

“Biden is scheduled to fly from the G-7 meeting in southern Italy to Los Angeles for the June 15 fundraiser. Along with Clooney and Roberts, former President Barack Obama and late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel are set to join him. The decision underscores how Biden is further shifting into campaign mode as he looks to overcome former President Donald Trump’s polling lead in key swing states ahead of the November election. Adding to the urgency, Trump eclipsed Biden’s fundraising efforts for the first time in the current election cycle last month, raising $76 million to his $51 million,” the outlet added.

Biden turning to Hollywood comes as former President Donald Trump’s campaign has raised a staggering $200 million since the former president was found guilty of 34 felonies last week, the Daily Mail reported.

Eric, who is married to Lara Trump, the Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), stated that she had informed him that the amount consisted of over $70 million raised from small donors in the three days following his father’s conviction on 34 felonies related to falsifying business records.

“This might be a little inside information, but as I was leaving my house about 37 seconds ago, I asked my wife, what are we up to now?” Eric Trump told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo.

“And [Lara] said, just in terms of small dollar, we’re well over $70 million. This is $21 donations, $43 donations, right, small dollar donations. If you add the large dollar donations to it, you’re over $200 million. And by the way, Maria 30 percent of those people have never been seen before by a political party,” Eric Trump declared.

“I mean, these are Americans who are pissed off. They’re coming out of the woodwork and want to support a guy that they just believe is getting bamboozled by a system,” he added.

Eric Trump announced on social media that the campaign had received $52.8 million in donations within 24 hours of the hush money trial verdict.

One day later, this amount increased to over $200 million, with a single major donation playing a significant role. He attributed the surge in campaign funds to the outcome of the hush money trial.

American-Israeli Miriam Adelson, the late casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson’s wife, has allegedly donated $100 million to the Trump campaign in the days following his criminal conviction.

She and her late husband donated more than $200 million to Republican groups in 2020, and it looks as though they will be contributing significantly more in 2024. Her overall estimated wealth is close to $30 billion.

She is the most recent billionaire to promise to support the former president in regaining his position of authority.

Stephen Schwarzman, the CEO of Blackstone, made the same decision to publicly endorse Trump last week.

The massive private equity firm claimed that the anti-Semitism that surfaced on college campuses following the Israel-Hamas war was a contributing factor in his choice to support the former president.

“The dramatic rise of antisemitism has led me to focus on the consequences of upcoming elections with greater urgency. I share the concern of most Americans that our economic, immigration, and foreign policies are taking the country in the wrong direction,” Schwarzman said.

“In addition, I will be supporting Republican Senate candidates and other Republicans up and down the ticket,” his statement continued.

Schwarzman said his bid to back Trump is a “vote for change.”
