Jets coach Robert Saleh said Tuesday that injured defensive starters — linebacker C.J. Mosley and cornerback D.J. Reed — are “progressing well.”

But he essentially listed both players as questionable for Thursday night’s home game against the Patriots.

“What’s the one that’s 50/50?” Saleh said before practice. “They are all kind of 50/50. … There might be some game day workouts, too.”

Reed missed Sunday’s win over the Titans with a knee injury, while Mosley left the game in the first half with what was diagnosed as a sprained right big toe.

Mosley said after practice that X-rays showed “no breaks” and it’s “really just a matter of pain management now.”

“Got lucky, but I bruised it pretty good,” Mosley added. “The more I can push off of it, the more confident I’ll be to get back on the field.”

Nickel back Michael Carter’s ankle injury “is going to be an on and off thing, but he’s going to be fine,” according to Saleh.

Saleh said Jamien Sherwood would fill in for Mosley as the primary play-caller on the defense if the five-time Pro Bowl middle linebacker is unable to play.

“Sherwood is our MIKE. A lot of faith in Sherwood,” Saleh said. “Super comfortable with Jamien. He’s done a phenomenal job developing as a professional football player.

“Full confidence in him to call the defense, make the checks that need to be made. He’s got elite mental speed and elite communication skills, so I’m not worried about him playing ball at all.”

Aaron Rodgers contended that Creed is “one of the greatest rock bands of all-time” Tuesday during his paid weekly spot on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

He later joked that it was “about as controversial as I’m gonna be today,” although he did say at the end of his appearance that he and McAfee can “stir things up again” next week.
