A New American Greatness poll of North Carolina shows President Trump with a 3% lead among likely voters, including leaners: 48.9% vs. 45.9% for Kamala Harris. Among self-described Independents, Trump has earned a double-digit 10% lead. Trump is winning 61% of white voters and 43% of Hispanics.

On issues, the economy and immigration remain, by far, the top two issues on voters’ minds. 56% of voters there say they were “better off” when Trump was in office vs. 34% who say they are better off now. On securing the border, the 45^th president earns a large +22% advantage, 57-35% over Harris. On national security, voters trust Trump more, 51-40% over Harris.

North Carolina voters reject race-based reparations with only 34% of citizens supporting the practice.

68% of voters watched the ABC presidential debate between Trump and Harris. Of those who watched, 54% said Harris won vs. 32% declaring Trump the winner.

About The Survey 

TechnoMetrica conducted the American Greatness/TIPP survey from September 11 to September 13. The online study included a sample of 1,037 registered voters in North Carolina provided by our panel partners. Using our likely voter model, we identified 973 respondents as likely voters in the November election. After the survey’s completion, TechnoMetrica weighted the dataset by gender, age, race, education, geographical region, and party affiliation to reflect known benchmarks. The weighted registered voter sample composition is 32% Democrats, 31% Republicans, and 35% independents. The survey’s credibility interval (CI) is ±3.2 percentage points for likely voter results, meaning the study is accurate within this range 19 times out of 20 if all registered voters in North Carolina had been surveyed. Due to smaller sample sizes, subgroups based on gender, age, ethnicity, and region have higher credibility intervals.
