The late General Hospital celeb’s former fiancée has denounced Johnny Wactor’s killers, saying they “shot the wrong guy.” The time for tougher laws to tackle crime in Los Angeles has arrived, she continued.
According to Breitbart News, Wactor was shot and killed on Saturday while attempting to defend a fellow employee from armed robbers who were allegedly attempting to take a catalytic converter. His age was 37.
His distraught former partner, the actress Tessa Farrell, posted a video online criticizing the “criminals” who took his life and advocating for more stringent laws to address the persistent violence that plagues the Los Angeles region.
Through sobs, Farrell said, “If the person who did this is watching, I am sorry, but you shot the wrong guy.” You are able to secure employment. We are all in this together, even if I know the job situation is tough. Stealing is not necessary, especially if it doesn’t involve killing someone.
She continued, emphasizing the need for us to “make changes as a community” and “help each other.” “Maybe that is what Johnny’s gift is for us; maybe he’s offering it to all of us,” she said.
Farrell, who claims to have met Wactor in 2013 after relocating to Los Angeles, made a social media plea on Monday night, pleading with people to assist in “finding these murders,” according to the Mail article.
According to Farrell, “These criminals cannot keep getting away with their crimes and being released back to the streets with no consequences.”
“This cannot continue; it is not acceptable. Our ignorance is causing the loss of so many lives, prompting us to become a more intelligent culture.”
The 12 months preceding 2023 saw a nearly “12 percent spike in crime, including rapes, homicides, robberies, armed assaults, and burglaries” in Los Angeles, as Breitbart News previously reported.
According to the article, “Los Angeles County recently implemented its zero-bail policy, which permits offenders to return to the streets without giving bail money as they await their day in court.”
“Leftist campaigners push for the measure by claiming that monetary bail is racist.”
