MAGA Sounds Alarm – “Everyone Should Be Scared”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) spoke with host Matt Boyle of Breitbart News on SiriusXM on Saturday about her efforts to “reveal Speaker Mike Johnson’s power-sharing pact with the Dems.”

Following the announcement on Wednesday by House Democratic leadership that they would defend Speaker Richard Johnson’s (R-LA) position, Greene declared she would bring the motion to vacate to the floor for a vote.

“It is not something we want to be doing, but I think it is absolutely necessary,” Green said to Boyle in reference to pressing the motion to remove the vote. “In Washington, DC, the Uniparty is a constant topic of conversation.” The Democrats have said that they would vote to preserve Mike Johnson, but yesterday the press revealed that they want to get some sort of bargain out of him in exchange for their support, putting the uniparty on full display.

Voters, according to her, should be aware of representatives’ positions on the matter.

“This is exactly what voters across America need to see as they prepare to cast their ballots in November as well as the primaries,” the speaker stated. “America gave us the Republican majority because it was tired of the Democratic agenda.” And ever since our Republican-elected Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, took office, he has given the Biden White House, Hakeem Jeffries, and Chuck Schumer the Democratic agenda on a platter.

“And, as you may know, Americans struggle mightily every day just to make ends meet.” They are tired of all that is going on. Furthermore, I believe that Republicans in Washington, DC, ought to take a stance, put on their big boy trousers, and hold each other accountable. Additionally, we must give up the chair so that someone else who is prepared to oppose the Democrats may take its place.

Boyle talked about how Johnson’s three main policy concessions—dubbed “three betrayals” by Greene’s colleague Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY)—led to her choice. In particular, Johnson reversed course and rammed through a reauthorization of the terrible Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act after casting the decisive vote to eliminate a legal warrant requirement for spying on citizens. He also carried any scheme to unlock many billions in aid for Ukraine, despite having promised not to do so without resolving the border crisis. All of these actions put an end to the work of passing each of the twelve individual appropriations bills and passing a two-part omnibus bill, which overwhelmingly supported Democrats.

Boyle remarked, “It is like he annulled the midterm election, and we did not gain a GOP majority.” Millions of people who cast ballots in the midterm elections have their voices silenced. Is that not right? We discuss the dangers of democracy. Now, let’s move on to this.

Boyle cited rumors about the demands Johnson will face from Democrats if they are to save him.

“One of the ideas that I believe will be evident in the next few days, particularly if the Democrats vote as predicted to defend him, is what is known as a power-sharing agreement, correct?” Therefore, I believe that Mike Johnson will be able to retain his position as Speaker of the House since he will need the support of Democrats as he cannot win with GOP votes.

Boyle questioned what further harm Johnson might do throughout the remainder of the year in a coalition administration with Democrats. Greene demonstrated the immense possibility of further devastation.

“Mike Johnson is someone that everyone should be afraid of,” she retorted.

Greene began by outlining the significance of Johnson’s previous concessions to Democrats, starting with spending measures. “Let’s explore it together.” He thus used a two-part omnibus to fund the government, to which we responded with a resolution saying, “No more omnibuses, no more large expenditure packages, twelve individual appropriation bills.” Well, once they fired Kevin McCarthy, that was all over. After we had approved seven different appropriations measures, Mike Johnson became Speaker, leaving us with just five more to pass. He abandoned the whole idea and crafted a two-part omnibus measure, working with Chuck Schumer to agree on all of the bill’s provisions. This allowed the government to spend more money than Nancy Pelosi had. Furthermore, the Omnibus was essentially a policy clone of Nancy Pelosi’s. It completely supported the Department of Justice’s ongoing prosecutions of J6ers, President Trump, and Jack Smith, as well as the FBI’s raids at Mar-a-Lago and the gift of a brand-new building. It also sponsored the trans agenda regarding children and full-term abortion.

She emphasized Johnson’s reversal of the warrant requirement, which a bipartisan group had been attempting to incorporate for more than a year into a FISA renewal.

Then, a week or two later, he comes out, renews FISA, and casts the deciding vote to repeal the warrant requirements, which he had supported six months prior. She claimed that all of a sudden, he was the one making the decision, and he did so.
Finally, she talked about the border and helping Ukraine—possibly the most well-known Johnson reversal.

“Then, a week later, he returns with the foreign aid package—which was actually foreign war; it was not aid—with more than $100 billion to fund war everywhere in the world: 26 billion to Israel, nine billion to Ukraine, and he threw a $9 billion poison pill into that aid money to Israel that goes to Gaza and Hamas,” the woman claimed. “He refers to it as Gaza aid, despite the fact that, as is common knowledge, Hamas is the Gaza government.” It travels straight to Hamas.
