RFK Jr. Comes Out Victorious In Receiving Injunction Against Biden Regime’s Censorship Schemes

Judge Terry A. Doughty of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana issued a preliminary injunction that prevented high-ranking officials within the Biden regime, in addition to their respective federal agencies, from forcing or largely influencing social media entities to clamp down or silence content that is safeguarded by the 1st Amendment. This represents a significant accomplishment for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Children’s Health Defense (CHD).

This lawsuit was filed in response to allegations that the Biden regime  colluded with social media giants to illegally suppress online speech. That said, despite the victory, this injunction has been placed on hold until the Supreme Court issues its highly-anticipated decision in the Murthy v. Missouri case, which deals with online censorship. The lawsuit filed by Kennedy and CHD has the goal of protecting the free speech rights of over 80% of Americans who get their news from social media platforms.

Two separate censorship cases — Kennedy v. Biden and Murthy v. Missouri — were fused together by Doughty in July 2023 to make the legal proceedings simpler. Irrespective of the merger, Doughty ruled that the Western District Court of Louisiana has jurisdiction over the injunction requested by Kennedy and CHD.

Kennedy, the CHD, and private citizen Connie Sampognaro filed this  case in March 2023 against President Joe Biden, Dr. Fauci, and other prominent officials in the Biden regime. This case has its origins from a class-action complaint that represents the majority of Americans who use social media to keep up with the news.

The decision from Judge Doughty listed multiple ways in which the defendants in the Kennedy et al. v. Biden litigation was violating free speech rights enshrined by the First Amendment. In a court order, he  ordered the defendants to stop such violations. The judge recognized that the “right of free speech is a fundamental constitutional right.” He called attention to how a concentrated effort by the defendants, that spanned the White House to government agencies, had the goal of muzzling voices predicated on their content.

Per the lawsuit, Biden regime officials have crafted a strategic and comprehensive campaign to place pressure on three of the US’s most prominent social media platforms to censor free speech activity usually protected by the constitution. The complaint argues that the government pursued a vigorous campaign to directly censor Kennedy and CHD on the majority of platforms, in addition to the censorship of content that challenges the regime narratives on the Wuhan virus and other hot-button issues.

The good news is that America nominally has free speech protections thanks to its 1st Amendment. However, the forces of evil want to use all means possible — the government and private sector — to infringe on this freedom. Eternal vigilance and prudential state action must be exercised to prevent our rights from being whittled away in the long-term.
