The Secret Service failed miserably to protect Donald Trump at his Pennsylvania rally.
Now, the embattled agency is trying to pass the buck.
And a police officer made one confession about the Secret Service that left Donald Trump sick.
Secret Service blocked local law enforcement from Butler command center
The search for answers about the Secret Service’s failure to protect former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania continues.
A group of House Republicans toured the scene of the shooting, where another bombshell dropped about the Secret Service.
House Homeland Security Chairman Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) revealed that one local law enforcement officer present at the rally told him that their officers were prevented from entering the Secret Service’s command center for the event.
“Normally, according to the local sheriff, they have done these events in the past with Secret Service and always had one of their people in that Secret Service control room,” Green told Fox News. “Apparently, that was not allowed this time for some reason.”
Green said that the Homeland Security Committee was working to get more information about the communications used by law enforcement during the day of the rally.
The Secret Service tried to blame local law enforcement for not securing the building where the would-be assassin shot Trump and others in the crowd from the rooftop.
House Republicans climb on the sloped roof
Former New York City police officer Paul Mauro said that the Secret Service command center is where all of the agencies involved in the security for a location coordinate their responsibilities.
Leaders from all the agencies involved are at the command center “because you have to make decisions, and sometimes they’re hard decisions.”
Lawmakers went onto the roof of the building that the would-be assassin fired from.
Disgraced former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle – who resigned over the Trump shooting failure after refusing to do so for nearly 10 days – claimed that counter snipers or other law enforcement officers couldn’t be placed on the building because its so-called “sloped roof” made it a hazard.
Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) took a video of himself on the roof and noted that even at 70 years old, he was able to easily stand on it.

Fox News also recently reported that Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) has revealed that a whistleblower has come forward to inform him that there were originally security personnel on top of the roof in question, but they claimed it was “too hot” and got down.
Rep. Mark Kelly (R-PA), who represents the Butler area and was present at the rally, wondered why the Secret Service would ever let Trump go on stage after a suspicious person was identified.
“If there was an idea that there was somebody here that was suspect, why even allow President Trump to even go up to the podium,” Kelly told Fox News. “and why did we go ahead and continue with the program? I can tell you that being there for watching the president go down, watching Corey right over my left shoulder go down — it was a horrible day for American people. And then a couple other gentlemen sitting across from the president also getting struck by bullets. It was a bad day for America.”
Kimberly Cheatle may have resigned from leading the Secret Service, but there are still serious problems with the agency that must be addressed.
And it appears the agency wants to slither its way out of blame from the growing number of security failures at the Trump rally.
