Police say that an 18-year-old who allegedly shot and killed a man to steal his car was also the same man caught on surveillance video trying to commit a home invasion in October.

Investigators say that Alhusaine Drammeh and his 19-year-old accomplice Jonathan Montejano followed a man to an auto parts store on Oct. 24 so that they could steal his car.

When Robert Blowe III left the shop and went to get into his car, he was ambushed by Drammeh and Montejano. Police said that Blowe tried to defend himself with a gun but that he was shot and killed by the assailants.

Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Aubony Burns wrote in charging documents that Drammeh "told police investigators that he and Mr. Montejano chose to use handguns to carjack the driver of a vehicle simply because they like the look of the car and wanted it."

Prosecutors said they obtained security video that showed the two suspects park near Blowe and then shot him when he comes out of the store.

Police said that Drammeh was involved in many other crimes, including one that made headlines when video was released.

A couple in Kent, Washington, said they were returning from a casino when an armed assailant followed them and tried to gain entry into their home as they arrived. Video shows the wife rushing inside and shutting the door a moment before the assailant crashes against into the doorway and tries to disable the doorbell video camera.

Police said Drammeh is a suspect in that case as well as another home invasion where a family was held at gunpoint while their belongings were ransacked.

“Mr. Drammeh and his accomplices held a young five-year-old boy at gunpoint while they robbed the victims of their personal belongings and warned the adult victims to ‘tell the baby not to cry’ as they plundered the residence,” Burns said.

Both Drammeh and Montejano were arrested and booked into the King County Jail. Montejano is being held on a $5 million bail, and Drammeh is held on a $1 million bond.
